Surfing Soulmates

Our beach babes began their love story surfing, so the waves crashing into a private beach in Southern California served as the perfect witness to their union. Our bride and groom stood on the sand in Laguna Beach’s Three Arch Bay as they committed to each other on a beautiful September afternoon.

While the bridal party was preparing for their walk down the aisle, our team transformed the blank canvas of the Three Arch Bay Clubhouse into a bohemian beach dream, reflective of the style of our surfing soulmates.

Jade and Kameron’s ceremony was set on a private alcove inside the gated Three Arch Bay neighborhood. An Indonesian-inspired altar was the backdrop as the groom, adorned in a traditional lei, waited in anticipation for his bride. The simple yet culturally-symbolic design captured the essence of the bride and groom’s pure love for their families and each other.

As the processional began, Kameron’s dog Koa lead the way for the beautiful bride, Jade, who walked barefoot in the sand wearing a sleek ivory gown with a seashell pendant necklace. As Jade and her father appeared on the sand, the groom burst into tears of joy as he saw his future wife for the first time.

The sweet and sentimental ceremony was followed by a stroll on the beach as guests made their way to the reception at the Three Arch Bay Clubhouse. The reception was off to an exciting start as Mr. and Mrs. Brown were introduced for the first time!

Keeping with the vibes of the family affair, long family-style tables with open seating were chosen for our 200 guests. Each table was enhanced with West Elm vases and buds by the lovely Salted Blooms. Custom coasters inspired by the tile in the couple’s favorite restaurant, South of Nick’s, were placed under each goblet for guests to enjoy. To tie in their passions, guests received home-harvested honey from our beekeeper groom’s own hive.

Before inviting guests to enjoy tacos, burgers, fries and churros (how could it get better than that?!), Kameron had a little trick up his sleeve with a surprise for his mom. The slow Mother/Son dance song began, but Jukebox Productions scratched the song to play an 80’s throwback he knew his mom would get a chuckle out of. The crowd went crazy as they continued to dance it out to Ace of Base’s All That She Wants.

After sweet words were said about the newlyweds and toasts were finished, the new husband and wife snuck away with the wonderful Mandilynn Photography to capture a few last shots in front of the setting sun.  With the stunning bridesmaids in jumpsuits, and the groomsmen in floral tees, the bridal party was ready to dance the night away with Mr. and Mrs. Brown.

Thank you to Wedding Chicks for the groovy feature!
